Japan's traditions are among its greatest treasures, yet many are gradually disappearing from everyday life.
I founded TOKYO KIMONO DENIM to preserve this heritage by giving it a new form. Through the craftsmanship of master artisans in Okayama, authentic vintage kimono are transformed into luxury denim that connects Japan's past with its future.
I believe tradition should not simply be preserved—it should continue to evolve, be worn, and inspire future generations.

For generations, kimono have been carefully maintained through the traditional process of Yunoshi—a technique used to restore the fabric's texture, shape, and beauty.
Before each kimono begins its new life as denim, I carefully prepare and revive the fabric, respecting the craftsmanship and history it carries.
My hope is that these cherished textiles can continue their journey and be appreciated by future generations in a new form.
